Trading Features
The Swap Interface
The main swap interface is where most trading happens. It's designed for clarity and speed:
At the top, you select which tokens to trade. Click either field to open the token selector. Your commonly traded tokens appear first, followed by a searchable list of all available tokens. You can also paste a contract address directly if you have one.
The amount field accepts several input methods:
• Type numbers directly
• Click "MAX" to use your full balance
• Use percentage buttons (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%)
Real-time price quotes show exactly what you'll receive. This updates every few seconds as market prices change.
Understanding Slippage
Slippage is the difference between the expected price and the execution price. It's normal in decentralized trading:
• 0.1-0.5% for popular, stable tokens
• 1-3% for regular tokens
• 5-12% for new or volatile tokens
• Up to 50% for very new launches
NoobWallet suggests appropriate slippage based on the token you're trading. You can always adjust it manually if needed. Too low and your transaction might fail. Too high and you might get a bad price.
Route Visualization
See exactly how your trade will execute. Noob Wallet shows:
• Which DEX offers the best price
• If your trade will route through multiple pools
• The path your tokens will take
• Gas costs for different routes
This transparency helps you understand why certain trades cost more in gas or have higher slippage.
Transaction Management
After clicking swap, you can track your transaction:
Pending — Waiting to be included in a block Confirming — Being processed by the network Completed — Successfully finished
If a transaction fails, Noob Wallet tells you why:
• Slippage too low
• Insufficient gas
• Token has trading restrictions
• Liquidity was removed
You can speed up stuck transactions or cancel them if needed.
